Canalside Christmas Trees is located by the side of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the picturesque village of Wootton Rivers, three miles south of Marlborough.
Owners, David Whitehead and Rob Mitchenall believe that buying a Christmas Tree should be a pleasant and unhurried family event so we operate a “choose and cut” purchase scheme. This means that you and your family walk around the trees growing on our farm, select the one (or more) that you require and advise us of the date you want to collect. If it is the same day we will cut and net the tree(s) while you wait, otherwise we will cut the tree a day or two before you wish to collect. Choosing Christmas Trees can be chilly business so we offer free mince pies and a warming mulled wine to help keep you warm.
We have been selling for seven years and in that time our trees have received many compliments from customers who enjoy the choosing and buying experience and the quality and freshness of our trees. Our business has grown quickly based very much on these favourable comments on social media and by word of mouth. Each year we are pleased to welcome back old friends and meet new customers
- We are now closed for 2020 and looking forward to 2021, which will hopefully be Covid-19 free.
- The rumour that 2020 was our last year selling Christmas Trees is WRONG. Unfortunately it was reinforced by the article in the 17 December edition of the Marlborough & Pewsey Gazette and Herald.
- Our opening dates for 2021 will be published as soon as they are settled.
- In the meantime for the latest information on CCT please go to our Facebook page (link on the next page)
