Canalside Christmas Trees is located by the side of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the picturesque village of Wootton Rivers, three miles south of Marlborough.
Owners, David Whitehead and Rob Mitchenall believe that buying a Christmas Tree should be a pleasant and unhurried family event so we operate a “choose and cut” purchase scheme. This means that you and your family walk around the trees growing on our farm, select the one (or more) that you require and advise us of the date you want to collect. If it is the same day we will cut and net the tree(s) while you wait, otherwise we will cut the tree a day or two before you wish to collect. Choosing Christmas Trees can be chilly business so we offer free mince pies and a warming mulled wine to help keep you warm.
- We will be implementing recommended practices to keep our customers and staff safe during the choosing and selling processes. All our site is outdoors so this does help the situation, nonetheless for this year we are limiting the number of visitors at any one time. To assist this we are extending our opening hours and have instigated a booking system, details on the next page.
- Sadly, for practical reasons we will not be offering mulled wine and mince pies this year.
We have been selling for six years and in that time our trees have received many compliments from customers who enjoy the choosing and buying experience and the quality and freshness of our trees. Our business has grown quickly based very much on these favourable comments on social media and by word of mouth. Each year we are pleased to welcome back old friends and meet new customers.
